Hi are there any Aussies on the board who know if Midway sales are still around the distributors of Eastwind Dozers a rebranded Yuchai. I have emailed them first to an old email address that I have ordered parts from a year ago. Second email sent through their web page still no reply so I faxed to the number on the web page nothing back from them. Have they gone bust and closed up or is the weather too good to be inside and everybody gone to the beach for a couple of weeks.
If anyone could tell if they are still around if not I am sure I adapt some local parts to fit but my first choice would be to get OME parts

Thanks gave them a phone call (not easy from here no land line only a satellite phone) I got hold of them. When I commented about all gone to the beach I were being fatuous but it seems it was not too far off the truth. I emailed on Wednesday they received it on Thursday the parts guy didn’t get around to replying that day. As they had a long weekend Public holiday on Monday the parts guy took Friday off so he could have 4 day weekend (at the beach I guess). On Tuesday he had a backlog of enquires to handle he worked out a quote for me but didn’t get around to emailing it to me. On Wednesday when I phoned he had all the information at hand and was able to action it straight away. Ausses have a reputation of taking the beach more seriously than work a nice way to live if you can get way it but frustrating for anyone out of the country trying to deal with them a week to get an answer.
