Identify a Blue Ford

Our son just bought a Ford tractor that has 2000 painted on the side. It is a 3cylinder diesel. There is no ID tag on it and the stamped area is hard to read and the model number is unreadable. The production code is 6K12B which I understand to be 1966 Oct 12 Day Shift. Then there is 176 stamped under this code and then there is 056265 in the serial number location. This number is not correct per all the sites I have seen. Does anybody have any idea's.

Post clear photos of the hood, both sides of the engine, rear axle viewed from rear, and rear view of the 3PT hitch cover including the draft control rod going back to the top link mount. Clean ALL the paint carefully from the area where the model code, serial number and unit code are stamped in the clutch housing. You are correct, the posted serial number isn't correct. The serial number should staer with a C, B or less likely, an A.

How do you post pictures? The S/N is correct. There is a stencil in red letters on the underside of the right hood that it was made in England.

I will tell you with all certainty that the posted serial number is not correct if it has no letter prefix. You said in the first post it can't be found in any published lists, there's a reason. To post photos click 'go advanced' next to 'post quick reply' and click on 'manage attachments'.

Follow Rick's lead here. He'll guide you to what tractor you have. Post the pics and Rick or someone nearby will nail your tractor model for you. I'm curious myself so followup with info requested.

I got lost on trying to post pictures. We know what serial numbers are stamped on the flywheel housing and there is no A,B or C. Just the numbers 056265. Thanks for your help. There are louvers in the side hood and there is no covering on the control spring in the 3 pt lift. Head lights are on the side of the nose cowl and not in the grill.

I'm typing in the "Quick Reply" window at the bottom of the page.
I can see in the top of this Quick Reply window a symbol for posting pictures.
I click on that icon and see an "insert image" window.
From that window I can either type in a url address (address of an image that is already online) OR I can click on "From Computer".
You want to click on the "From Computer" tab and then "Browse" your PC to where the image is stored (desktop or maybe My Pictures?).
