How efficient are snow buckets?
How big should I go for my L3700SU, with 1,100lbs counter weight, my dealer has 96" bucket for under $800.
I am currently pushing 8 foot blade, and the tractor handles it well, just pushed snow this morning, about 20 inches and cleared 200 foot driveway and parking area in 15 minutes.

The plow sucks because the snow spills from the sides, so I have to make more passes, bucket might be more efficient?

I have 84 inch and it works well, with 7 ft back blade.

Maybe;on long straight runs it would be a handicap over a plow. You will have to stop,back-up,angle and dump. You are still going to spill after the bucket is full.

Blades are much more productive for snow than a bucket. The time lost dumping will never be made up. Have you thought of adding end plates to your blade? It will hold more than just the straight blade without sacrificing dump time

Just curios. Does you snow blade angle or are you just pushing a straight blade?

My tractor has the third function so I have power angle on my plow.Pushing straight ahead for the more open areas.

OK thanks.
Maybe the snowblade wings like Philip mentioned would be another possible option.

My blade is always angled for plowing , straight is for some clean up . I hate buckets for snow , unless I am piling snow , or the tractor is out doing clean ups with the bucket .
