The "90 degree angle & cheeks" or placing your weight on your right upper leg is the best solution. Cameras have their place but it's a huge learning curve to judge distances/tolerances on small screens.
I have experimented a lot with different technologies and they all have there place, and I found keeping my eyes directly on what I do minimize accidents and mistakes, especially on small acreage.
Simplify your life....it's more enjoyable that way.
