How's everyone doing with the SNOW

Massive 66" snowfall over 12 HOURS in Kitimat, British Columbia on Thursday. Yesterday. 700 residents were ordered to evacuate, as power had been out for several days. Now that's a snowstorm!

I wonder how my rear blower on my little BX25 would do in clearing over 5' of snow? It sure makes you feel humble!

About 15 yrs ago a Canadian snowfall record fell (145 cm) about 1.5 hrs southwest of where I live. My place received 101 cm, I remember how helpless I felt. Lucky for me my neighbour dug me out with his M series Kubota. Even my mountain snowmobile was useless in this wet snow dump. This year has been manageable as the snow has been dry & no more than 15-30 cm at a time. The BX25 has changed my attitude when dealing with snow removal. The task is enjoyable!

Feb 1969 we couldn't keep the heifers in because they would walk over the 48" page wire fence surrounding their lot.

Same year, January 1969. We had 3 days of school. My dad had 1200 lb steers walk over the feedlot fence. He dug down and tied on another layer of fenceposts and wired up a new fence. Then they walked over the top of that one. He dug down again and put up a 3rd layer. When they walked over that one, he called in a bulldozer to plow out the feedlot. It was so hard they didn't even leave a hoofprint on it. Average snowfall was probably 4 feet, we had 12 feet that year, and man, did it drift.

Still waiting for our first snow! Ever since I got chains for my BX last year for xmas... hardly a flake! Ski areas around here are hurting bad. And I am talking about two Xmas's ago!

We are getting dumped on here again in Mass. Spent 2 hours yesterday pushing back snow from my ¼ mile drive. Went out today and found out my ¾ ton truck with chains is stuck in a bank that I backed it into to park, one of the chains is missing. So it’s all tractor time with the FEL. I need to look into a blower for winters like this. Lots of my banks can’t go any taller and I already pushed them back debate a front blower but I wonder if I would miss the FEL. This is the most snow I remember in years.

Man that must be tough, all excited, got new chains for Christmas never snowed again. Two years wow, look at it this way, it's only fun for the first two hours then its a PITA
