Its been so cold so long my pond froze completely. Which means I now have no water. So I'm melting snow so I can fill up the toilets. Can;t wait till a thaw.

Dig a ten foot hole by 10 feet wide, throw some 3" stone in (clear), cover it after you put your 4 foot deep water line as a spare. You should be good to go then.

Not really that much snow here, but the cold temp's, heavy winds are making mean drifts.

Twenty below zero this morning at dawn. Squeaky cold. They delayed the start of school by two hours to deal with the wind chill. How making a bunch of parents two hours late for work helps was not explained. My wife that drives one of the school buses got to sleep in some.
I'm not even going to plug in the JD until about noon. It is a good day to putter around the house.

....and then made a left turn and hit us with a vengeance! 54 cm. (21") until midnight Sunday, and it's still coming down, although not near as hard now. Big deal is the wind - maximum Sunday was 89 km/hr (55mph), now it's only gusting to 51 km/hr (31 mph).

Yesterday we picked up 3 or 4 inches of the driest, lightest powder I've seen in many moons. Used the backpack blower to clear walks and vehicles [Killer B was in the barn, kickin' the stall]. Unfortunately, can't do much with the 2" ice-pack beneath it all. -14.5 at dawn today
