Thanks for the input guys. I checked the air pressure and they were set right at the max. I let some air out but all I have done since then is blade my drive which is pretty smooth. I am sure it will help some though.

I was really impressed on Monday morning when it cranked so well at -7 without plugging it in. I normally would plug it in for a couple of hours but I was in a hurry to clear the drive from the drifts that blew in over night. It cranked right up after cycling the glow plugs 3 times.

I weigh in almost four and a half tons empty in the summer, without pee'n in the tires....

Sounds like a water retention thing to me. Jerry, you better go have that checked out.

Scottsey,
Be sure to hang weight on your 3PH. When I take my backhoe off..........it feels like my rear end is gonna bounce into the air.
I run max pressure in my front R1s, as the loader lifting a full bucket can make the tires look flat. I run the rears 2 psi under max.

I built a one ton cement weight for the back sans hoe.... Have not used it much [ hoe stays on all summer, blower of snow in the winter ], but just another tool in the box. And Sis, we all sure would not want your rear end bouncing in the air. I am also telling Ma that you are staying up all hours of the night posting on the internet..... [[[ :) ]]] I run max sidewall pressure all the whole way around ...

Jerry,
It only bounces up and down driving to the brush hog or the disc. That's only a few hundred feet of bouncing. I guess you forgot I work nights and sleep during the day. My week starts Monday nights. So my go to bed time for Sunday night is almost daylight on Monday morning. I'm up now cause the propane delivery guy just left.
You also gotta remember..........it isn't "we all"..................it's Y'all. Can't you remember anything?
hugs, Brandi

We did get about 8 inches last night. I am very happy with the way it moves snow. I really like the HST for this. Here is a pic of the tractor.

Scot I can't tell for sure but there is a pile of snow on the left of your pic that looks as if you used the rear blade and backed up to clear it. If the 5010 has telescoping turn buckles, be careful with this procedure as you can bend one of these quite quickly. You won't hurt it doing if what I see is an accurate assessment. The problem arises as you try to rear blade into an existing large pile of snow or other obstacle. Nice tractor. May it always prove useful.

Thanks for the advise Arrow. Yes that is how I cleared that area of my drive. I will keep that in mind in the future.

My 5010 has been doing great in the snow. Had to jump it last sunday to to extended -20 temps with wind. The battery was weak from the cold. I use a 7 foot rollover box blade on the 3pt to clear the snow. If its over 10 inches deep I have to plow with the loader first. I have piles 12 - 15 foot high. I would like to build or buy a snow box for the loaded this year.
