NX4510 HSTC Pricing

Haha. It's going to be a tough decision. Since I don't have an immediate need for HP, the noticeable benefits would be larger rear tires (I could gain close to 200lbs additional weight with RimGuard), I could push a wider snow blade, gain 2 inches of ground clearance and a bit more top speed. I'm hoping to save up enough to purchase some rural property within the next 5 years, if that were to be realized I'd be all set to easily run a rotary cutter and tiller, or even bale my own hay. Hmm.

Yes, with an NX6010 the possibilities are endless!

I'd error towards higher HP. I just went from 20hp to 45hp and I'm now kind of thinking 75hp would be nice... (maybe for my next tractor, heck - make it 90hp). But then again, I'm the type to use a sledge hammer to put a finishing nail in. The only down side I see to more hp is tractor dimentions / manuverablility. So if you're looking within the same frame size it's a no brainer - finances aside.

I'm not too impressed with those prices.

Michigan Iron and Equipment quoted me $29,500 for an NX4510 Cab HST with FEL.....cash price. Jumping up to the 5010 with the same setup was $31,000. A 5510 was quoted at $32,500. I didn't write down the price for a 6010, but I believe it was $34,000.

They quoted $250 for the radio/stereo, $150 for the rear wiper, and $600 to add two rear remotes.

I got these prices just a couple of months ago (early Fall).

Good day TBNers.

GManBart, but I thought the 6010 price RockyNY was quoted $34,500, (cash with rebate), (but unsure about with FEL).
I thought that would be a good price, (if with FEL, without, then I would agree with you)?

On a side RockyNY, I had a DK60 with cab to go with the DK45HST, the DK45 was my 1st, and well, one never forgets their first, but to get more HP, (with cab especially if one is going to be doing cold weather operations), and at a good cost is always a plus.

Couple of points from experience, how much land do you think you would like to get down the road, (ideally and realistically, ahem $$$).

What is the land in the area, hilly?
Relatively level?

Haying: My 45 HP DK handled my small baling operation fine, (cutting, square baler, tedder, etc), along with other hobby farm, (38 acres, some hills - Bluegrass), needs. Later, we picked up a small round baler when we added the DK60, never even considered trying the round baler on the 45, but had no problem with it on the DK60.

Remember, every project = $$$$, and there are always specialized tools that help that one can add but . . .
So as you purchase your core equipment now, (tractor), think realistically what do you want to do, what do you need to do, and always the bottom line of $$$$, now, and future costs.

Good luck.

That's basically the same cash prices I was quoted by another Michigan dealer, the prices I posted above were not cash prices, but finance prices. Prices included FEL. Michigan Iron & Equipment didn't have any NX cab models in stock, and apparently they have a policy to not sell out of state.

As I have been pricing the NXs I think those are good prices.

But that and :2cents: will get you :2cents:

Oh, and remember that running the sweet - sweet air conditioning, (especially on those hot summer days, with a game on), will cause a loss of PTO HP.
So as GManBart, and basically everyone here recommends, by as much tractor as one can afford.

This part of NY is rolling hills with some steeper areas. I'm thinking 25-50 acres, preferably a mix of wooded and pasture.

You actually quoted one dealer at $35,532 in post #13 for the OTD cash price for a 4510 HST Cab. In post #16 you quoted $33,300 cash for the same setup....that's a pretty big difference from $29,500 to 30,000 we see around here.

I can understand MI&E not shipping out of state, but they told me it normally only takes 5-10 working days to get a machine from Kioti, so if the other Michigan dealer would be okay with selling out of state, you could save a fair chunk of change.

You're right, I've quoted prices from several different dealers. All the local dealers quoted me prices at least $2500 higher than prices I've seen here and what VanPaemel quoted me, and they had a 4510CH and 6010CH in stock. Looks like VanPaemel is right about the same price as MIE.

[snip]A TBN member generously offered to haul a tractor for me from his area, for a competitive rate. So I called a dealer there (Michigan) and got prices of $33,350 for a NX4510CH, or $37,550 for a NX6010CH. (These are finance prices, $3000 rebate if paying cash)[snip]

Since the frame size of of the NX6010 is only nominally larger than the NX4510, you would not give up any maneuverability going with the former. But you'd gain 33 percent more engine hp and 42+ percent more pto hp. It would also allow you to use cat 2 implements, although you'd need to pick either cat 1 or cat 2 to use a Speedco-style quick hitch, or else go with a Pat's quickhitch system. You'd use more fuel, but you're not going to be commuting in it or operating a fleet. :) I think you're on the right track focusing on the larger model, especially with your future plans. Don't think you'd ever regret having more hp, but you might eventually regret having less.

See how helpful we TBN'rs are at helping you spend your money? :D

The frame size from 4510 to 6010 are the same. The 5510 and 6010 are marginally wider due to larger wheels and tires, but the frames are the same.

Well by the time I get a remote, rear wiper, block heater and rim guard figured into the price, I won't have any money left over for a third function diverter. I guess that can be added later.

I'm betting Eric will be able to help you with that when you're ready, no problem. ;)

Well, I just put a down payment on an NX6010HC, VanPaemel's gave me a killer special deal on a leftover 2014 model they wanted to move along. I added on a rear wiper kit, ($150), one remote (300 installed) and a fuel heater ($89). Rear view mirror and loaded tires thrown in. Paid $33,150 for the tractor not including addons, couldn't be happier.

That looks a good price.

That's the one! Yep, I'm counting on TSO not to wreck on the way to NY. Hopefully he won't get caught in a blizzard. LOL

If he does, he can give that NX a little try out to help him out of it:D

What are you doing with your Mahindra?
