Quick Hitches 3-point quick hitch

My HF Cat 1 hitch is set up for Cat 3 bushings.

So is mine. They would be ASAE standard if it wasn't for poor manufacturing tolerances that sometimes requires grinding or spreading to get everything to fit.

I am confused by some of the dialog. I looked at many brands before I bought my HF Cat 1. None of them had hooks the same inside dimension as the 7/8 lower pins and the 3/4 top link. Land Pride came with bushings for both top and bottom to increase the pin size to match the hooks. I bought LP bushings for the HF after I modified it to fit right. I thought all the QH required the bushings to increase the bearing surface. I am happy and it works great.

The JD follows the exact ASAE standards I linked to above, as do most other QH's. Everybody likes to think/saw the JD is proprietary, that only JD implements work with it, or that they cost more than all the others because they are green...but none of that is true.

Interesting...I have an attachment, that I was told is compatible with the JD imatch, but does not fit my speeco qh. Maybe the pins are in the wrong location on the attachment! haha BTW, I dont have a JD tractor, and the availability of a JD branded qh, built to the same standard or not, was not my deciding factor. My next tractor might be green though...and I plan to keep my speeco qh!

I think most require cat1-->cat 3 bushings. Haven't seen one myself, but I think Speeco has a new model, the E-hitch, which is made for cat 1 pins from the start. There may be other brands now doing this as well.

The 7/8" slot (no bushings) is new to me. I also have the H.F. QH, and it has the cat-3 sized slots. All I could find on the difference/reason as well is ETA's video saying it's more finicky to align. Though, I'm not really sure why that would be true either. I'd have spent the $20 more (plus shipping) for this one instead of my HF one... http://tinyurl.com/m5vw6ac

I have noticed that the HF QH has changed "over the years". I watched LOTS of videos and read lots of threads before I got mine. Some of the complaints must have been addressed, because mine doesn't have the problems that some of the videos have.

Lots of dialog and discussion here. In the end if you get a quick hitch set up and working with your tractor and implements it makes changing them on a whim a piece of cake. I use the fixed top hook version of IMatch and am well satisfied with the choice.

Agree 100%.
I have an adjustable top hook that I will never adjust. Implements will be made to fit.
