If your fluid is saturated with water and emulsified, you need to drain and replace. Then cover the machine if left outside.

Get it into a heated place. Let it thaw out. Drain the hydraulic oil and let it sit. Perhaps the water will separate? Or use some new oil. It will happen again if the machine sits without getting the oil hot for longer periods of time. Getting it hot regularly for longer periods of time will get rid of the water. Most yellow equipment spend's it's life exposed to the elements.

Don't know your situation, but in my case with my front end loader, it's not ice in the hydraulic oil, it's the spool valve spring that freezes.
When I re-discover it, it's usually too cold to take it apart an get the moisture out, so I just heat it while the tractors warming, and when it's warm out, it's no problem so why fix it?! (The leaky roof syndrome)

Being the impatient type, it's probably good that it forces me to let the tractor warm up while I go get a hairdryer (well, I use to use a hairdryer), but now I am too impatient so I just use a propane torch.

If the problem clears up when warm, I would recommend to remove the cans on the bottom of the valve and clean , lube and make sure the weep hole is at the bottom.

JJ you were right . in one of my post you said i spun a bearing .i did the #4 cylinder . have not got right into it yet .we loosened the rod cap the piston moved up and down .tightened the cap snuff it up again . so i will try to let you know later how we made out ..new crank or just bearings ..wishful thinking . and a new head gasket to Preston in oil ..
