Oil & Fuel John Deere 5325 won't start

The fuel lines on my 5520 started to rot and began to get "gooey" and collapse on themselves. I had to replace them all but it wasn't that difficult. I could see where that could be a problem to check out.

If your 5325 is a STRADDLE MOUNT or ISOLATED OPEN OPERATOR STATION / CAB go to the parts catalog and look up this part number RE220719 it is a inline fuel filter/strainer in the fuel line.

Very good. It's been a while since I did mine but I do remember an inline filter. Great advice JD5210.

I looked over the diagrams and it looks like there is an inline filter in a line leading from the fuel tank. The maintenance book shows a drain on the fuel tank that can be used to drain some of the tank water and sediment. I will do that and change the filter if I can find where it is and see how that works. You guys are the best!!! Thanks!!

This is a new tractor to me bought with 1700 hours on the clock. It had been sitting for a while before I bought it this summer. I have filled the tank up a couple of times. I can't even see where the injectors are but I am working on it. I don't know if there is a down stream bleeder but there is fuel coming out of the fuel filter bleeder and I did fill the filter with fuel prior to putting it on and bleeding it. I want to thank you all for the help. Keep it coming. Today it's 10 degrees F. with 2 feet of snow on the ground. Won't be spending too much time on it today.

It looks like your machine is a 5 cylinder, you will have 5 lines going into the engine, ( think of spark plugs), loosen one of them while starting, you should see fuel coming out after air has been expelled.

The fuel is gelled or your fuel line screens are plugged. It gelled in our tractor at 25 F because they hadn't changed to winter fuel, needless to say i was pretty ticked off I couldn't use my tractor.
