I'm going to get a utility bill so high this month I know I'll be starting a thread on picking the right fireplace insert. I have tons of wood free here on my property so it just makes sense to heat with wood.

Based on my limited testing, if ya gather the wood well before you actually need it, it's a far more enjoyable experience ... :laughing:

Would like to convert it to pellets though. Still want that chipper on the back of my tractor that spits out wood pellets.

You commission it, I'll build it.

Now I could mount that on the front porch and with a little CNC program have it automatically move down the driveway, adjusting elevation as needed. What fun. But I need RS to build that mini plow for my leaf blower first.

I would go with compressed air for propellant. Generator + air compressor; you are self-reliant.

16 this morning and headed to 22 today. Fine by me today. Half of my birds leave today. So staying frozen is great. They won't tear up my drive. It's hard to keep gravel under a tractor and trailer on freshly thawed ground. Pretty busy day today. Stay safe guys.

uh oh, now they predict 5 to 8 inches of snow here Wednesday night.
this should get really interesting around here.
I have the phd on the back of the tractor, awaiting planting,and that's not going off, so
now what. I guess I'll call my fireman neighbor; I'm sure he knows someone with a pickup and plow.
