My point was that the dealer would have installed the LT tires. Not factory. My dealer is terrible but I knew the salesman so I had to go there. My truck came just how I ordered it as well about 50 days from when I placed my order. As long as the dealer types it in correctly, it should arrive as ordered. I typically order my trucks but will sometimes find a good deal on stock items for family vehicles.

I ordered through the Fleet Manager. I wonder if they can put in "Change Orders"? I would think you could do small changes like that but the average salesman is too lazy or dumb to know how.

Just my 2cents. If I had to do it again, I would get the 5.0. My driving style isn't easy and I'm usually pushing or leading on the highway. For the extra cost of the boost, I don't have any fuel economy savings.

I will say, this is by far the most fun truck I've ever owned. It's hard not to lay on the gas and let the turbos whistle.

Just my 2cents. If I had to do it again, I would get the 5.0. My driving style isn't easy and I'm usually pushing or leading on the highway. For the extra cost of the boost, I don't have any fuel economy savings.

I agree that your mileage will take a hit when pushing or playing hard with the ecoboost. It fits well the saying "you gotta pay to play" but it is the best engine for playing. When compared to the 5.0, it probably will use more fuel. When compared to a 6.x liter it will use less fuel. This engine pulls and performs in the 6.x liter class so consider it a savings. The 5.0 is a sweet motor I would recommend to most who don't like to play or tow heavy loads.

If you decide to go for that truck you're looking at, don't go in there pushing for the $10,000 off. Start pushing at $12000 and try to get them to settle at $11000. Make them sweat a little. I'm hearing guys getting more then $10000 off the '14 stickers but I guess it depends on your area. I got the same amount of money off on my '14 silverado in March as people were getting in December on leftover trucks.

deere5105, there must be something wrong here. I paid $32K X .90 Canada-U.S. exchange rate = $28,800 U.S. for a very similar truck, but even with your dealer's $9500 discount you would still pay $46,635 - $9500 = over $37,000, almost $8,000 more than I paid way back in October 2014 (when the 2015's were not even out yet). And my truck was made in Kansas! Am I missing something here?:confused3:

So far have been focusing on what options were must haves versus nailing down a price. The list in order of priorities looks like this:
1) 3.5 Ecoboost
2) 3.73 axle ratio
3) Max Tow package
4) Leather 40/Console/40
5) 20" Chrome Clad Aluminum Wheels
6) Silver Color
7) HID Lights

The fact that they threw out $9500 so quickly may mean there is more room to work.

Got the chance to drive both a 5.0 and Ecoboost yesterday evening in 4WD, super crew, with 3.55 axle. In my opinion, totally different "feel" to these trucks. Drove Ecoboost first. Acceleration very strong. Quiet. Smooth. The 5.0 seemed to have equally impressive acceleration and may even have "hit" quicker. The sound made it seem more impressive. Either truck is much quicker than my current ride. In the end my preference is based on overwhelming and unanimous reports of how the Ecoboost tows and it is the only option that will get me to the 11,000 range. Now to see if can get options wanted and price right.

The small town dealer I use would not hesitate one second to swap wheels and tires to make a sale. They have brand new take offs galore.

If you like everything but the ride of the 20's, ask if they will swap them out.

I could be happy either way, but like looks of the 20" enough to offset any difference in ride. Both trucks tested were smoother riding than my 2004 with 18" wheels.
