LOL EXACTLY!!! And it's not just tractor dealers. I was at my Ford dealer today grabbing something, BS'ing with the service manager about my 6.0 powerstroke. When he heard I wasn't running Ford Gold coolant, he balked and said I've gotta get that back in there! I said no, Ford Gold has silicates in it, and under hot pressurized conditions it has been known to fall out of suspension and clog the Oil Cooler and EGR Cooler, leading to the very common EGR failures that the 6.0L is known for ... he said, "Well, I've never heard of that. The engine calls for Ford Gold coolant, so that's what you should run." It is well known to apparently the whole rest of the world that swapping out that Ford Fools-Gold coolant for a premium standard E.L. coolant ASAP will prevent most of the oil cooler/EGR failures (if they haven't already clogged up your oil cooler passages).
Dealerships never want to admit there's a problem with one of their products ...
6.0? What turbo problems? 3.5L ecoboost misfire? F150 axle wrap? huh what? You don't say? No, never!
Kapper, I made my 3rd function: zero problems. Simple perfection. On the other hand, I also spent 2K doing it. I have a box full of handles I tried and then didn't like, I have extra sub plates and electric hydraulic valves and my goal was to make it all look like it was something the factory themselves made. In other words, every hose is perfectly fitted, every fitting looks like it belongs. My wiring harness is higher quality than the factory harness.
