That's a video I'd like to see as well. Even though the science behind it baffles me, someone corrected me on the available 400cx loader on the 4720 and it looks like a very capable loader. I'd like to see how he compares the overall machines.

Speaking of that, Eric, when you get a chance can you snap a picture of your loader specifications page in your loader manual? I'd like to see the full numbers including the different lift points as listed in the actual manual.

I've cleverly left the KL6010 owner's manual along with the NX series owner's manual in the behind the seat storage compartment and so perhaps three point or another NX owner can step in with the actual loader manual. I've noted a tradeoff between lift height and the weight that can be lifted among the various OEMs. Here are the specs on Kioti's KL6010 loader.

http://www.kioti.com/products/attachments/front-end-loaders/kl6010/

The specs suggest that in the first foot, Kioti's loader can pick up an much more than its 2760 pound full height rating. I know I've come nowhere near the max picking up logs, culverts and the odd trailer.

Lol no problem, and no hurry. Was just curious to see the full specs. I'd like to see where the numbers come in at different heights, and distances from the pp.

It's also interesting to note, mfgs rate these numbers at different PSI also. My actual lift strength sky rocketed when I adjusted my relief valve to proper spec. It was supposed to be 2500, but was at 2350. I gained about 400 lbs of strength on pallet forks by adjusting to proper spec!

I see that the Kioti loader is spec'd at 2556 PSI. I wonder how the numbers would change across the board if all the relief valves (of competing tractors) were set to the same spec?

Actually ... Doing the math quickly, boosting mine another 56 PSI to 2556 should yield, in basic theory, another 117 lbs of lift on a pallet... Which might translate closer to 150+ lbs at pivot pins ... Which, again in basic theory would put my loader numbers a hair under 2700# @ pp @ full height.

Someone more mathematically inclined than myself would have to do the actual calculations there, but the basic premise is present.

Thoughts?

That settles it, we should have "tractor challenge day" this summer... I'll host :D

Different tractors thru identical, practical, real world tests. I've got a 5000lb Chatillon hanging/pull scale that we can use for loader & 3pt lift specs.

No, no, I should host. After all, I have more junk to move and we have a tractor club in Park Rapids too!
