7 pin extension

What do you guys do for a 7 pin extension? I have seen 7 pin harnesses in varying lengths with the male end but no female end. Do you guys just buy one of these and put the female end on it and would that be the best way to go? I need an extension for the the tractor.

That would be the way to go.

In times past, I have just bought both plugs and made up my own. Probably cost as much, and a lot more trouble.

Thanks, I never thought about searching for a 5th wheel extension.

That would be the way to go.

In times past, I have just bought both plugs and made up my own. Probably cost as much, and a lot more trouble.

It looks like it may be $10 cheaper to add my own end.
