Is it too cold to start my tractor?

Energize those glow plugs too long and they will over heat and fail.
The best system is automatic 6V glow plugs on a 12V system. They heat fast and the cycling prevents over temp burnout.

I'm with you.
We are at -11 again this morning
Move over to here (Norway) as we've had the warmest winter I have ever experienced, hovering around freezing and next to no snow. That 'no snow'-bit particularly irritating as I've had no chance to properly test out the new tractor :confused3:

send me a bunch of boxes and FEDEX labels and I'll send you several hundred tons of the snow you want.

Oh, never knows, might have spoken too soon. We've had years with really heavy snow in late March, snubbing out any hope of an early spring.

:welcome: From Vermont.
So your reading through some threads looking for a place to start? Look up to the top left and notice that the last post on this thread was at the end of February. Sometimes threads sit quite a while between posts that further the discussion but ones where we are just complaining about the weather get left to die. There should be some about spring projects and planting starting up any minute.
Where is Gloversville?

Spoke too soon. Got 16" of snow. One result was that some sheila (Aussie for a person of the female persuasion) knocked over the power pole to the house with her 4wd. Broke it clean in two. Didn't cut the power though. Neither did she report it to the power company.
