Out for a rip in the snow

Well I had to see how much snow we had before venturing out...

untouched yard

dug down to grass... notice I'm standing right on top not sinking. All 185lbs of me!

24" Alot less then I thought there would be! I guess the banks are decieving.

Ready to rock n roll! Notice the skating rink that is my driveway.

Barely sank down 2"

Hard to tell from the pic, but this is a very steep, very long washout. Quite the challenging trail.

I was out for about 2 hrs. I love having the cold weather gear. It was -12C and I was very comfortable.

Looks like fun. Love the machine.
We are getting an annoying snow today. 1-3" over 24hrs.

I could make it to one Tim's through the trails... but I'd have to cross a highway... probably using the overpass... the thing is there's a cop shop nearby, and I hate driving on the road in winter with salt on it... avoid it like the plague.

I'm gonna have coffee coming out my ears here soon with Roll Up the Rim season going on!

Thanks! I think we're getting a dusting tonight. Glad we had sun all weekend. Even though we stayed below freezing some ice on the driveway's been melting.

Do you cross over a running stream there, or run alongside it? Sure looks like fun. Having tracks has to allow so much more winter use wherever we get significant snow. I keep looking at them online... :drool:

All streams were frozen, but yeah the trail crosses that stream. I've had the winter blues more and more with each winter... this is therapy. Being able to get out whenever I want regardless of the snow.
