Max 28

Re: Max 28, Some dumb lazy man questions on Max 28 Servicing.

If anyone is looking for a Max 28 shuttle and is close to Mineral Wells WV check out Tractor Pros | Tractor Supply Company. I was there today and they have 5 setting on the lot.

That is great information.
My sugggestion is not to sit on fence, and oif you can pick one up for less than $15K with the loader, move on these.

If anyone is interested, the Mahindra Max 28 Manual can be downloaded direct from

I have all of 3.6 hours on my Max 28.
Yesterday, I puttered about our ice rink of a farm for about 45 minutes to charge the battery.

It was getting late and light dim and my eyes are not what they once were.

1.)Could someone tell me/ Post photos of where you check the engine oil level?
2.)Also what is the easy way to remove the engine side panels?
3.)Filter intechage info.

The Max seems light, at least prior to the future addition to adding my weight box. Ther is no traction without chains. I may load the tires also.
I doubt the Max 28 weighs more than my heavily ballasted Kubota B7200 which is smaller. The Max is about +3 feet longer and 5" wider and will need more weight for working New Hampshire ground.

The Max has lots of power and easy to shift. I like having the 8F/8R.
Love having power that steeering.
The bucket is sure tiny, I may hang weights off the front bracket so the front has more weight back-dragging.
As the Loader does not have a 4 bar link, the dump angle is limited.
I was considering a toothbar like the BXpanded Piranha Tooth Bar, But I'm wondering how much it would catch material when dumping?

I have to come up with a better way of fueling the Max28, as too much spillage with a 5 gallon can.

Its going to be a wait I guess before I get the plow off the Kubota L39 and get the garden plot ready with the Max28

I started the PC 75 excavator and crawled it out of the snow bank to resinstall a newly reupholstered seat.

(If anyone is in Central NH is looking for a good upholstery shop, I recommend Westside Upholstery in Tilton)

Sick of Winter.

Re: Max 28, Some dumb lazy man questions on Max 28 Servicing.

I found this on Amazon
Amazon.com : TERAPUMP TRFA01 4 AA Battery Powered Fuel Transfer Pump w/ Flexible Intake hose and No-spill Auto-Stop Nozzle attachable to gas cans and more : Grocery & Gourmet Food
It is a battery operated pump that fits a 5 gallon fuel can. It fills it pretty quick and has an auto shut off so very little fuel spill.

I think you'd need to change the 4AA batteries 2-3 times during each tank transfer.

I've run about 20 gallons through it so far and have not changed the batteries yet.

For cheap money, Ni-cads and a recharger from Harbor freight.
