Anyone running chains on the rear of an l45? I just want to confirm they will clear before hitting the submit button on the order.

Based on my B3030, I would think that if you have more than 2" of clearance between the tires and frame/fender--go for it.

Tirechain.com said 2 3/4" required...and it's definitely CLOSE.

I have Tellefsdal chains on my L45 and have about 1-1/4" of space betwwen the chain and the fender.

Those look like they fit pretty easily.

They sure look ANGRY. I assume you don't use them on pavement?

They do go on easily, and yes they are "angry" (lol). They offer great traction and ride smooth too. I dont use them on black top. My driveway is gravel and quite steep. I had regular cross chains at first and they didnt work well at all. They had to much gap between the chain so the traction for going forward as well as slowing down on the hill was terrible.

Ice chains are the best for tractor use in winter. They are very smooth going, as they are continuous on the tire face, and they chew ice like there was no tomorrow!:thumbsup:
As they loosen quickly, you have to tight them regularily. The slacker they are the more banging on the wheel well you will get. This is accentuated as the vehicule speed increases.

I am not familiar with the L45, but perhaps the rears can be installed in differing positions, giving more or less clearance? I installed wheel spacers on my L3400, giving plenty of clearance, and my L3130 had 4 positions (I think?) you could mount the two-piece rears in. Those cleated chains look all business!

I use custom inside wheel weights with 1" Spacing. Tires are way to close to fenders otherwise.
