I recently looked at a 2012
BX25D with 132 hours, at a dealer (on consignment). It was configured with the 60" MMM, 12" BH bucket, and the 3pt kit. Their asking price as $16,500. It was very clean and ran well. If they would have come down a few hundred (they wouldn't even call the guy), it would be in my garage, right now. Unfortunately, for them, that price, plus the finance charges from my bank meant I can get a brand new unit, for the same price paid-after the loan is paid off.
Unless something changes, I am planning on getting a new unit with the 60" MMM, 12" BH bucket, and the 3pt kit, for $18,000 cash price or $18,500 finance price.
Money breakdown, for the two are:
2012 used through local bank-60mo @ 2.99% for $16,500
$296.41/mo Paying out $1,284.60 in interest. Total paid over course of loan: $17,784.60.
New financed through Kubota-60mo @ 0.99$ for $18,500
$316.15/mo Paying out $469.28 in interest. Total paid over course of loan: $18,969.28.
For that extra $1,184.68, I get a warranty (the
BX25D's only come with 2 years on everything) and a dealer that will send a tech out, to my house, and repair the unit, in my driveway, if possible, if there are any warranty issues. If he cannot fix it, on site, he will take it with him, and deliver it back, for free. The dealership is 80 miles away. That's worth something, to me. I also get armrests, a better brake pedal location, cushions in the hydraulics of the BH, a nicer floormat, and a nicer instrument gauge. Plus, I get to be the one who breaks it in. Completely worth it, to me, on a machine I plan to have a very long time.
You can see my reviews, of the 2012
BX25D, in this thread:
