Looking at a 2012 BX25- what do i need to know?

Price sounds high to me, I paid 13500 for a 2009 with 35 hours but no mower. Mower decks go for 1k-1500. Make sure the plastic hst fan is not broke, since that has the mower protecting it I'm sure it's ok.

I don't think that is such a bad price at all especially with a dealer involved. These BX TLBs just don't depreciate much at all. If you bought that machine and put another 300hrs on it over three years, you would likely be able to get $13-14K easily on CL. If you kept it ten years and sold it you'd still get $12K or so. Look up the asking prices for BX23 and 24 models on CL. In ten years I've never seen one sell for less than about 12K.

I'd love a brand new one, but that's kind of where my head is at

I have a bx 24 , I use a 3 point mower . I use the loader a lot and on rough ground . I put on the backhoe when I need it . Now I dont know how long it takes to take the mower on and off , but I can have the 3 point on or off in 5 minutes . As far as prices , I stole mine , neighbor was moving cross country in 2 days and asked me if I wanted it it had 98 hours( I have a deere 310b backhoe) and I thought what a neat little toy tractor to play with. Well I was impressed and still am . Came with a never used tiller too. How much ? well about 1/3 of the the prices mentioned above . Great machine

Wow, you did get a steal.
I got my BX24 in 2011 with 230 hours on it, included 54"mmm, 52" 3pt snowblower and 48" Landpride backblade. I paid $16K Canadian. I think I got a deal then... list for a new BX25 similarly equipped then was near $23K plus tax.
The prices on well maintained units seem to stay up there.

Dumb thing was , I didnt realize how good of a deal I got till about 2 weeks later. I brought it from the shop to my house , I was going to let my kids dig with the backhoe . And a neighbor stopped by and was looking at it and he had priced one about a year earlier .
