I still have all of "that" cherry and one of these days I'm going to turn it into cabinets and some trim for my own use!

Glad you all liked the picts...

I was going to ask you what that wood would bring selling it. It looks like you are going to put it to good use, but any idea what it would bring?

It's all about "when" you sell it?

Right off the mill, probably $1.50 per bd. ft., especially the wider boards. Dry it to under 20% moisture and you could probably up that to $3.00, dry it to under 8%, and wide clear cherry like that would probably go for $5.00 ESPECIALLY if it's S2S, (surfaced two sides) that may add a little more....

BUT, a lumber dealer in town would get a LOT more than that, but it would be kiln dried!

PSEbowhunter-What typd of attachment do you have mounted on the 3ph?
Can you post a photo..thanks.

Welcom to TBN...a wealth of friendly advise and ideas.

I have been using a Stadler woodl boiler in my basement. It sits about 24" away from
my oil boiler. I installed an on/off switch to my oil burner so that in the fall I just swith the burner to off
and burn no oil, fall through winter. Keep the wood boiler stoked and it heats the whole house and provides
all of our hot water, as well. If you can tie into the domestic hot water, it will save you even more.

Nice tractor!

Daves.
Thats heck or draw more so w/out rear chains...nicly done.
Hope you can get the rest of wood out before mud season.

The conditions were just perfect enough to let the lugs dig in. Colder or warmer and it probably wouldn't have worked out so well. I have to get as much as I can out before the field gets planted (I get nearly all of my wood from locations other than my own). It seems to be a slow melt this year and that helps a lot. I'm guessing there is at least another 50 cord on the 9 acre area that I was in. It was logged a couple years ago, so there are all the tops, and some of the trees are blowing over/breaking more since it was thinned out.

Nice tractor!

It's just a trailer hitch i made out of an old truck hitch.

Then i added a second receiver tube toward the top to use this hitch carry all for my saws, gas, oil etc.

I can still haul my splitter or trailer on the hitch with the carry all installed.

Thanks for the photos. Good design. Like the idea of adding the upper carry all.
Not sure why none of the tractor makers don't add a trunk to their designs!!
Sure could use one.

Much more than $5 around here dried and S2S for that quality grain if you can even find it.

These pieces might be a little big for my splitter

Also built a quick chainsaw scabbard

"These pieces might be a little big for my splitter"

I'm curious. Were you able to split that stump? My little splitter has often split stuff up to 24-30". I've sometimes split in from the bark. It often takes several attempts at different points. BTW is that maple? Poplar? The worst I ever split was some rock maple that was about that big.

Yep, all but two pieces I couldn't get quartered. My chain kept trying to follow the grain and was running off of the bar. This little splitter splits everything I have ever tried to. My only problem is getting the big stuff up there.

Sadly, I am pretty new at this, and don't know my trees maybe someone will chime in. I think it is Ash
