no lights on trailer

Ok...getting the trailer ready to go pick up new tractor and when i plugged the trailer to the truck....no lights.

When i metered the truck connector i am only showing .15 volts from the battery, all the rest of the pins show 0 voltage. Only thing that works is the electric trailer brakes. Took ground off and cleaned connection no help. Could not find any blown fuses.

99 % are ground related

You have separate fuses for the trailer circuit on your truck. Check the fuses again.

When you tested the truck connectors where did you ground the meter? If the trailer, then the ground may be it. If you put a jumper cable between the truck and trailer and things start working then you know it's a ground problem.

What Chris said. You probably have a second fuse box possibly under the hood or inside right kick panel and trailer light fuses will be there.

So i went to the ford dealer out of frustration !! He said....have you checked the fuses and i said yes. So he doubled checked for me with a tester.....sure enough, 2 of the 20 amp mini fuses were blown !! Somehow my tri-focal glasses missed it ! The mini fuses act as a safe guard for the big relays and shutoff power to the truck connector in the back. They only charged me for the 2 fuses....great ford dealer. I think this all started from one of the reat trailer lights getting smashed, must have shorted out to the frame. Everything is back up and lighting as required. Now to go get my new tractor tomorrow and take it to Tenn.
