Mahindra 4035 pst
Good morning,
Logged 45 hours on my new 4035 PST and as I figured a couple issues. First was antifreeze leak. Took a bit of messing with but loosening the clamps. Breaking the hoses loose and spinning them. Retightening solved that issue.

This new one has me grumpy though. The leak is coming from the rear pressure line right off the pump. The 90ー banjo bolt fitting. First the bolt loosened up. Tightened, reloosened. I've been communicating with the dealer on these issues and they have been very upfront and helpful. He advised a couple wraps of tape on the threads should hold it in. That info came right from mahindra. I pulled the bolt, inspected the washers 5 wraps ir so of blue monster and 5 hours later its power washing again.

Any body else have any issues? I asked him to send me down a new bolt and washers but I have no idea if that will fix it.

Love the tractor. Only got to plow snow so far.

Since nobody else jumped in, I'll chime in. All my experience and reading suggests you're likely right on the money for a fix. It is the first time I've heard of leaks in that area, so chances of getting a good fix in place are good.

Good Luck!

The only thing I can think of with that fitting and a steel line is when tightening the bolt keep the line from torching so it's not putting pressure to loosen the bolt. I'm sure others may have better solutions and ideas than mine.

Sorry I should of updated here to. My 4035 485 post has all the issues.
Turned out to be a pressure problem. A 7000psi problem. The main relief popet valve was stuck in the relief block. Dealer fixed it. Said they have never seen a relief stick closed. How ever my dealer has had 2 other 5035's last year leaking oil at the same fitting with perhaps the same issue. There going to look into it with the other units as well.

I think you are talking about the block at the back of the pump. mine sprung a leak there as well with 30 hrs or so. turns out the bolt may not have been tight and the special washer that is has let go(o ring washer combo). dealer replaced the washer and no problem since.

Mine leaked at the pump but at the end of the day its going to leak at the path of least resistance. If you can almost stall your tractor with it 1500 rpm or so by curlinging the bucket and holding it on the relief. Good chance yours is stuck too.
