Kubota RTVs - how do they handle off road?

Appreciate the discussion as I'm sure there will be a RTV in my future someday... at least it is on the wish list.

I've owned my RTV500 for about 3 weeks now and I love it. When I test drove it at the dealership, I knew it was exactly what I needed. First day driving I needed the 4wd and it pulled though. My only quirk is not having a fuel gauge on the dash, which is minor but should be on a rig in this price range...

How did you choose the 500 over the other models?

Not sure if you were talking to me.... If so are you referring to other Kubota models or manufactures?

Sorry... I posted on the go.

Just was curious on why you chose one model over another...

I had my heart set on the 900 diesel. After looking at the 500 when I went to buy the 900 I changed my mind. This was based on the 500 having an actual Kubota engine that is fuel injected, better looking, lighter and a $3,000 less price tag. I never considered the 500 because I thought it had a aftermarket carbed engine. Why I considered the Kubota rather than a Polaris,Yamaha, ect that's a different ballgame. I wanted a rock solid workhouse. Kubota has been good to me in their equipment.

I pay no attention to a video whose maker thinks they have to blare rock music to make a point. Sorry, that's just me.

I do like the smaller size for a number of reasons... and it is less expensive.

My only experience is with my neighbors gas gator and he has no regrets... although not having 4 wd and 4 wheel brakes wouldn't work well on my land.

I needed the 4wd first day I drove it... Brakes on the other hand I never use. The engine braking does a good enough job that I don't use them. However its 4 wheel disk brakes so if they are needed its top if the line.
