Hello All,
I know there are people out there who are looking for a headlight upgrade from the Halogen 885 lamp to something better. I went on ebay and found a brand "Innovited" for the all 800 Series upgrade to HID. 48.99 with free shipping!! They work amazingly well! 5000k color temp and give plenty of light! I will get pics of how I installed the ballasts, and what the light output looks like at night. I'm also going to get a current draw rating as well for those who are interested.

Nice!

Do you have a link by chance? I looked on there but didn't see them.

How much work involved getting them hooked up?

That was the direction I was planning to go as well. I've not had good luck with halogen lights holding up over time.

I'd go with LED myself. 1/10th the current draw and basically unlimited life.

301 Moved Permanently

I have tried and wasted money on LED, it seems like it's too directional for our housings and just don't have the output "lumens" HID can offer. If you know of or have something that is LED that does the same job please let me know. I'll take these out and install then in my Yukon Denali.

Does not look like they have the spread of your HIDs but I am happy with the 26" LED light bar I put on my RTV.

This light has 24 floods and 18 spots that make up the array. I think that is a nice ratio for CUT / utility vehicle use. If I were getting another CUT I would mount one of these under the ROPS.

Just the stock headlights

With the LED light bar on too

I will say that I like how your HID upgrade is not an aux lighting package but does more with the existing lights. Only issue I see is that when the loader is up a bit for travel it typically blocks the factory lights. Therefore you pretty much need aux ROPS mounted lights on a CUT with loader anyway. YMMV

Look at the previous posts of mine in other threads and you will see the 32 bar on the ROPS and on rear and below. I think I now have enough light.
