You are right about the ports, I have been out in the sun to long.

But the LSR is a regen valve and you have to connect it correctly.

Here are some more pictures of the hookup, It looks like I do have the A and B ports reversed because for the LSR-3060-3 it says the detent valve feeds the A port.

Are those water pipe nipples in the IN port of the valve, if so I would not recommend that setup.

You really should get a regular log splitter valve for that pump.

Your tractor pump and the LSR 3060 valve should work well.

Yes, I have one piece of black pipe going into the valve, I couldn't find a hydraulic fitting at the time, but intend on fixing it. I guess the danger is the pressure?

The valve has a regen mode and regular mode, I'm running it in regular mode right now, so I think it's the same as a normal log splitter port in that mode.

When you say my tractor pump, you are saying using something like a power beyond port? I do not have a power beyond port that I know of.

Do you have a FEL?

IF so, you should have a PB port, and if not, you could run the log splitter directly off the tractor pump.

No ... the danger is that it could explode like a hand grenade ...

The pressure (and using the incorrect fitting) is just what causes the danger ...

It would be one thing to use a pipe fitting on the (oversize) return line ... quite another to place it on the pressure side.

The only observation I have is that it looks like the suction line is some what kinked and slightly collapsed as to maybe too long and or it needs a different routing and it looks small. But maybe that is just me. Later.

For Iron Pipe 1/2 Standard - STD - Sch. 40
the Bursting Pressure is 10380 (psi)
the Working Pressure 1300 (psi)

Wrought Steel Pipes - Bursting Pressure

so the working pressure is less than it should be but the valve would relieve the pressure before it got close to the bursting pressure.

I do plan on replacing it with a steel hydraulic fitting though to be safe.
