somebody said they wouldn't use after market filter because the bypass is to small..well my 2 cents is if it happens to go into bypass the filter should have been changed long before it did...i talked to a filter rep he told me when they cross a filter to there's it has to be an exact match,microns ,gasket dimention,thread pitch for spin on,size of filter...he also said they make them for various tractor plants and put there name and numbers on it( example Deer,new holland )he didnt know who makes tym,he didnt think tym had its own filter plant...i change my filters and fluids every fall whether they need it or not..i always wipe my quick connects with a rag changing implements.my tractor has 5 filters on it 3 tym and 2 yanmar..most expensive the fuel filter yanmar 74.94 plus tax...hopefully i dont have to change that to many times for gelling or water..but i add lucas fuel additive with every fuel fillup with no problems......just my 2 cents
