We had two;an 8N&9N and they did well for the time but I don't miss them.We have a local guy that restores them and does a great job;they really look good and run well.
That's a keeper. It'll last another 60 years. I like those old straddle tractors like your Jubilee, the 8N and my 1964 MF135 diesel. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/ford-vintage-tractors/419601-short-video-my-ford-golden-dscf0016-small-jpg"/><img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/ford-vintage-tractors/419602-short-video-my-ford-golden-dscf0017-small-jpg"/><img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/ford-vintage-tractors/419603-short-video-my-ford-golden-dscf0024-small-jpg"/><img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/ford-vintage-tractors/419604-short-video-my-ford-golden-dscf0025-small-jpg"/> They're more stable on slopes than platform tractors where you sit high with your feet above the top of the transmission. Good luck
I remember driving the Jubilee when I was so little that I had to push up on the shearing wheel or stop and the transmission was so big my legs got hot trying to straddle it, I mean above the knee.
I have the opportunity to buy a golden jubilee that has had engine overhaul and was painted at some point. Is $3000 a good buy?
I hear Ya!Might be a little steep. It looks like it's missing some original pieces. And when folks over spray paint onto the tires it makes me wonder about the quality of their work. I would pass.
