So ever since I bought my bota each time I would fill it with diesel it would drip fuel on the floor. I just figured there was a vent in the tank and I was filling it too full with the fuel nozzle. Well Sunday I got tired of it so I took the fuel tank cover off and sure enough there's a defect in the plastic and it's leaking right at the seam. It's still under warranty so I politely called the deal and told them the story and said that I use it every day so I didn't want to be without it while the tank was on order. They ordered me up a new tank and will let me know when it is in so I can bring the bota in and have them put it on and I'm not without it for a week or two.

Just a heads up in case it's happening to anyone else. Once fuel tank isn't totally full then obviously it's below the seam/crack and doesn't drip.

WOW. I know what you mean about not wanting to be without your RTV. Sounds like you have a good dealer. I have a very slow coolant leak but hate to take it to the dealer and be without it. Hopefully just a loose hose clamp -- will take a closer look this weekend.

FYI, I just got a recall notice for my 2014 RTV X1100C. It says that the fuel tank is defective and needs to be replaced when its in for its next service. Only problem is, I live 100 miles from the dealership and never take it in for service.

It does have a warning in all caps and bold print that says not to operate it if the tank is leaking.

If you don't mind me asking, where exactly is your tank leaking. I want to keep an eye on it just incase.

If you take the tank shield off there is a seam 3/4's of the way up on the outside edge of the tank that runs horizontal. That was where mine was leaking. The shield holds a lot of diesel in it and makes it drip from more under the machine as is runs out.

The service guy told me it took him 20 minutes to put the new tank on.

You know I just had that problem myself. The upper radiator hose popped off while I was plowing snow about a month ago. If you lift the hood, you need to remove several (if memory serves me) 10mm bolts that hold the plastic cover on over the radiator. This allows you to access the upper hose. The dealership said they hadn't had any other problems with this issue.

I see you're from Pa. I purchased mine in November 2014 in Hagerstown Md., which is very close to the Pa. border. I'm wondering if they were close in build date.

My leak is so slow it doesn't drip on the concrete floor and so it's difficult to pinpoint exactly where it is losing coolant. But the coolant in the overflow container does go down very slowly and I've had to top it off twice in about 150 hrs. In addition, I can smell antifreeze at times like it may be evaporating on hot surfaces of the engine rather than dripping down on the floor. I know a lot of times a coolant leak can be easily fixed by tightening a hose clamp if you can find where it is leaking. Unless it gets worse, I'll probably just let it go until I take it to the dealer for the 200 hr maintenance and let them find/fix it under warranty.

I think the build date on mine was May 2014.

Mine was the same way. I never saw a leak, just smelled it occasionally, then,,,boom, the hose popped off when I came to a quick stop on a pile of snow with the plow down. It must have been just enough of a jolt to knock it loose. It really scared me at first. I thought I damaged it somehow while plowing, but turned out to just be a loose clamp. My dealership is a long way off so I just fixed it myself.

I got my recall notice today in the mail for the fuel tank.

Got my Kubota RTV-X1100C recall notice today also. Have to take it to the dealer for fuel tank inspection and replacement if needed. It hasn't leaked any fuel to date but it sits in a heated garage and I baby it all the time.
