Gotta love how at 2:55-2:56 ya see him reach up and grab the tread on the tire and roll the tractor back an inch or so to connect the right link... Safety police and lawyers would jump up and down about not having a parking brake set now adays...

I have the opportunity to buy a golden jubilee that has had engine overhaul and was painted at some point. Is $3000 a good buy?

I saw the same one on craigslist (hello fellow mountaineer!). I also passed on inquiring due to the overspray on the tires being an indicator of the workmanship throughout the unit. Same guy had another similar ('55 640) listed that was in pretty rough shape I assumed he used as a donor. He still wanted like $2900 for it...

Local folk seem to want too much for abused and rusted stuff, Lord forbid if they actually rattled a spraycan or squirted some oil on something; stuff gets priced like it is priceless with that sorta effort involved...

I'm very impressed how he uses the right link adjuster to get the link off. Modern tractors have very poorly designed adjusters!

Yeah remember mine was sold for $2200. And you know what mine looks like. People ask way too much for them. I got mine for under $1,000.... But it needed a little work... But with that little amount of worked I doubled its value! (0;

Very informative video. Nice to see how the old implements are supposed to work. My first tractor was a 1963 or 1967 fordson super major. Awesome tractor, great power and accessories, but with the loader it was just too heavy for my yard work but I do miss it.
