FEL lines refuse to connect. Huh????

I think on mine when it happened the pressure was on the loader side, which is the female end. I couldn't get any pressure to release when it happened other than running cool water over the hydraulics.

You gents were right on the money. I actually gave it a gentle tap with a 3'8" extension wrapped in a rag, and they then slid right on. Thanks for the help. :)

I had to loosen one of the fittings on my grapple to ease the pressure once. Now I plug the two hoses together when I take it off of the tractor.

Not only do I plug them together I unplug them immediately to let a drop or two of oil "puke out" then plug them back in a final time to keep dirt out. I have never had a problem with the grapple. It was always loader hoses unplugged and then heat soaked, that I had trouble with. Or the loader just shifted a bit on the ground, and the pressure in the loader lines increased

+1 for the extension. I tap it with a hammer. Mine are all female, no option to hook together. I've got an idea for a tool that will hook around the bottom of the fitting and have a pivoting handle that will drive a pin into the valve. One of these days. I'll get around to making it
