What's the price difference? The extra money spent on the cab now, will make the tractor worth that same extra amount 10 years from now if their cab is not problem prone.

How old is her car? and or how much does she want to remodel the kitchen?

Or in other words, how much is the cab really going to cost you?
I think you've talked your self into it any way, enjoy it and the new kitchen.

I live in a cool climate and last winter we had 15.5 ft of snow. I went one winter without cab. As I type custom cab is being built. :). Want VS need. I am just a homeowner.

Get the cab. You will wonder how you ever enjoyed a tractor with out.

Cab. I was in a similar position and decided it was worth it as I don't have a shop to park it in. One thing to consider with the cab is the overall height. It makes the tractor pretty tall which can be an issue at times.

I was looking at the 4035 HST then sat in the 5010 HST Cab. Mistake. I really liked the 4035.

Do I really want a cab. I only have 13 acres of hilly property without trees to maintain.

Weather can be a little screwy in Arkansas. Some summers are really hot, others not. Winters can be mild to just dang cold and windy.

Have you looked at the 4035 replacement the 3540? It comes in a cabbed version also. The 35 series is their premium line and the 10 is a more basic workhorse. I haven't seen a 35 series cab yet, but being the premium line of compact utility tractors I'd have to think it is a bit nicer.

I'd get the cab in a heart beat and the 5010 is all the tractor you need. I'd also get a 12' gang mower if you're cutting a manicured lawn type 13 acres. Otherwise I'd opt for a flail.
