I'm working with my local dealer about either an M7060HD12 or an M9960HD12 ROPS to replace a MF tractor that I bought two years ago that I have lost confidence with. My local dealer is only 4 miles away, is a good dealer and I trust their work but they are not known for the best prices around.
Tractors are equipped the same: 12X12 hydraulic shuttle with E-PTO, Kubota loaders with third function valve, QA bucket (72" for M7060, 84" for M9960), cast wheel centers with one pair of rear weights, front weight bracket with 6 front weights, second float detent rear remote, single lever FEL hydraulic quick connect, rear work light kit, and down (horizontal) exhaust kit. FWIW, I need ROPS and horizontal exhaust because I often mow around and under trees.
My dealer quoted $46,780 for the M7060 and $52,945 for the M9960. Both quotes are first quotes (dealer says there is not much wiggle room) and do not include cash rebates of $1,500 for M7060 and $2,000 for M 9960. I would almost certainly pay cash as I do not like to pay for money.
The dealers quotes include significant shop time for installation of optional equipment, which they claim must be dealer installed.
Build it prices on Kubota website are $48,966 for M7060 and $57,279 for M9960.
I believe both quotes include more than "not much wiggle room."
What do you folks think?
