Physical Therapist since 1993 - hard to believe I've been at it for 22 years!! Most days I love what I do - dealing with insurance companies blows though. Sent from my iPhone using TractorByNet

I think the first job was pulling weeds in my fathers garden and sitting in the fruit and vegetable stand a few hours a day in the summer. Advanced to a cut off handle rake working landscaping with my dad then making and scoping ice cream in my uncles dairy bar. At 16 I worked in 2 convalescent homes and enjoyed the old timers (which I am quickly approaching) then entered into the EMS system worked as an EMT then Paramedic for 10 years. I presently completed 31 years in law enforcement and during that time was a part time adjunct instructor for EMS. Wife keeps telling me to think about retirement as police work is a young persons game, I tell her it keeps me young but soon I think I'll need to find a new career, maybe playing on my tractor

Playing on your tractor will certainly be a safer job than being a target for just about every crackpot with a pea shooter/gun.

I farmed for most of my life. Truck farming, cows, hogs, hay, corn and pine trees. Also spent most of those same years in the grass cutting business. Starting off with sports turf {golf courses, ball fields}, then going to yard grass and hay. The last 12 or 13 years I have gave up the farming, except for pine trees. I still have a big garden, but it's strictly for pleasure. And as all my old grass customers died off, I haven't replaced them. I guess it's been 3 or 4 years since I've been paid for cutting grass {yet I still spend way too much time on the mower}. For the last 24 years I have worked night's and weekends at our local Civic Center. I do lots of weddings, birthday parties, baby showers and the like. The pay isn't great, but I have my days to do what is required to keep the Larro Ranchero from going totally wild, and 99% of my customers are in a good mood. A stress-free workplace is worth something.

Spent 28 years in law enforcement, RCM Police, worked in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. I now spend the winter months in the North West Territories working Security on the ice roads, the rest of the year I work part time at a building supply store.
