I've been going into PA for quite a long time now, probably around 30 - 35 years and one thing I do miss is the change of merchandise in the surplus section. Back in the day they seemed to have a lot of high quality surplus items on the shelves, these days it seems to be a rare find. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from them over those years, some was unmitigated crap but most of it was a decent bang for the buck and some of it performed every bit as good as their high zoot counterparts. I have noticed that they can be expensive for some things though so it pays to bone up on prices of items that can be bought elsewhere.

Last thing I bought there was an 1 1/2" impact socket I used to make a driver to adjust the preload on Chevy truck front differential side bearings. Machined the end flat and then cut twelve 5/16" slots 1/4" deep in the end. Good thing I had a brand new carbide endmill to do it with because that thing was tough!

Warranty on powerfist tools is not lifetime anymore, but their return policy is second to none. I also noticed that their price on bolts/nuts have doubled in only a few years! They seem to always put on the same specials... they do a rotation. I also noticed that chain hooks do not come on sale as often as they used to. Their new ProPoint line up is a step up from PowerFist. The selection is quite impressive. Looks like they mostly come from Korea. I bet you they will get less returns on those; which translates in better proffits!! And a lower percentage of frustrated customers...

It was in the local counselors email update, its going in with Cabela's in kanata north. I'm not exactly sure were, but anything in kanata, let alone kanata north, is waaaay too close for comfort! I'm pretty sure it'll be close to the tanger outlet mall, opposite where bass pro was supposed to be.

Well I just wish they'd build one in Quebec, preferably Montreal.
Probably will never happen though as our language laws would have them translate everything into french and that would apply to all manufactures instructions as well.
Then their name would have to be changed 'Les Pieces D'Auto Princess' and all company memos also be in French.
Shucks the OLF even wants all web sites to be french as well.
Heck the language police even went after employees that spoke to each other in English during coffee breaks.
