Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with or knows someone with a Z121s? I'm very interested in this mower for the following reasons: 5 inch deep fabricated deck, ZT3100 transmission , suspension seat, big wide tires and 4 year warranty. I will be mowing about 1.5 acres, mostly wide open territory. I do have a couple slight slopes and was hoping the wider tires and stance of this machine would be ok. I appreciate any feedback and/or info anyone has on this machine! Thank you.

You might want to also look at the Z122 and save some cash. I just bought one and love it. I have slopes. Does pretty well.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've been eyeing the Z122 as well. The reason I've been really looking at the Z121s is because of the suspension seat. That may be something I can do without. Are the controls pretty smooth on your Z122?

Controls are smooth but definitely I would call them responsive. I don't have experience on bigger Z turns only garden tractors and the control and agility is night and day. I went with the 42in cut because I only have an acre to deal with and many tight spaces. Also the ground is uneven in places so I figured I would get less scalping. It is a bit of a bumpy ride in those spots if I go too fast. I am impressed so far. I have some fairly steep hills to deal with and can't mow all of it but I knew that going in. Those areas have to be hand mowed or weedwacked. I can't imagine any machine dealing with these areas anyways.

I don't have one those mowers, but I definitely would recommend a suspension seat on a Zero turn-I used my Toro commercial mower for 2 hours before I was back at the dealers buying a Michigan seat for it!

I have a 2 year old Z121 (I think this is the model) with the Briggs engine. Have had it 2 years with absolutely zero issues, starts easy and runs great. I'm very happy with it and for the price it's a good value.

**Correction** I have a ZG124E-48. This model is no longer available. Still happy with it though.

Thanks for the info.! The general consensus I'm getting about Kubota zero turns from (basic residential to higher end commercial units) is overwhelmingly positive. I hope to be a new owner of one real soon.
