I have to ask how stable are the bags on the pallets or do you always lift them by the straps? they look tall and unstable

I have a 47 hp l series and the most I feel comfortable lifting is 20 percent of a cord. About how much do you figure you have in a bag?

Are you saying your loader will only lift 800 pounds safely?

My bags are reasonably stable, but it all depends on how well you load them. I'd love to hear how stable the bags are with straps are

To lift a pallet with a face cord, you need 2000# lift cap. at a bare minimum. There's a lot of weight sticking out a long way in front of the loader. I'm not sure that would even be enough since green hardwood weighs approx 2000#. I wouldn't want any less loader for handling the bags.

Got some splitting time this weekend, using the borrowed 37 ton Northstar. Love the honda engine, not a big fan of the wedge design, but it's not costing my anything, so I'm not complaining.

Good video OldPath. You can tell that is not the first hitch you have pulled out of the woods.
I am wondering what you do you do with popple 2X6's. I have only seen it go into light duty pallets and casing.
