I asked about this last summer and will post this as a follow up post. We went from a Cub Cadet ZTR with lugged tires to a ZD326 with turf tires and were greatly disappointed in how well it got around but I was concerned with the weight of the ZD and lugged tires causing turf damage. I ordered a set of these new Carlisle WT300s which are an R4 tire designed for turf applications, all the lugs are rounded off instead of square like a regular lugged tire. I have to say that they are performing great, it has a ton of traction now and is doing less damage to the grass than the turf tires did. My front ditch is sitting full of water after last weeks rain and I was able to stick the mower's front tires out into the water and still back out without spinning the tires at all and with the turf tires it would have been stuck trying to do that. It also has enough more traction that it will hold the side of a ditch better than it did before. These tires were about $130 each mounted from our local tire dealer.
