John Deere 300CS--PLASTIC chainsaw!

Still got John Deere name on it!

I REALLY don't care...it's immaterial in today's market. You can't buy a JD chainsaw today - so there's no point to your post - other than you need a reason to slam John Deere and it's quite obvious that's your intent.

People need to buy the product that fits their need - not a brand name. No one put a gun to the head of the person buying a "plastic chainsaw" and forced them to buy it. If you don't understand what you need and how the product should be built - you deserve to get the product you bought.

I buy Stihl equipment because the dealer is 7 miles from my house and provides great parts availability and service. Also, I have a small ranch about 250 miles from my house - there are three Stihl dealers within 10 miles, zero Husqvarna dealers, and one Dolmar dealer 30 miles away with sketchy parts availability and service - no brainer - buy the Stihl.

Point - do your homework on the piece of equipment, manufacturer, and dealer - buy the best total package not a brand or someone's favorite on an Internet forum.

But - haters gotta hate so rave on and make yourself happy...with not one usable piece of information - just a ***** session...
