How can I remove the clear plastic guage cover on my Kubota b7800

Lubing cables is easy, just insert the tube from a can of Fluid Film and squirt away. At least that's one way.

Shouldn't have to lube throttle cable, check the drag on the lever.

Leejohn-How do I do that? I would like to get the lever to move easier. When I am working at operating rpm's it is difficult to raise or lower.

Follow the rod that the lever is connected to downward (you may have to remove the lower plastic trim piece on the dash/console)

IIRC, it will connect to some linkage ... lube the point where it connects with a thin lube (WD-40 or something similar) ... it should work fine after that.

On my 7800 it's the nuts on the end of the throttle shaft. There are 2 nuts on the end and wave washer under them. All you do is loosen the jam nut and loosen the other one just a hair, it well not take much to make it easy. You can try putting some oil just above the nuts like rswyan said, most of the time that works.

Yup - that's it

Couldn't exactly remember what the connection setup was ...

Worked for me ... and I was surprised at how freely the lever moved after that ... ;)

Without removing anything, I see the lower end of a vertical steel rod connnected to the smaller horiz. rod going to the engine.

Where are the nuts and washers that you are referring to?

Well look real good you should find them. The nuts are why you can't just pull the shaft out. You are not at the end of the rod yet, they are there.

Think I found them.
Lying under the tractor and looking straight up I see 2 stacked nuts at the bottom of the tube.
In order to access the nuts, looks as if the lower plastic panel has to be removed?

I don't know how to post a picture from a pdf file, so I took the time to print the page then scan to my pc.
Here is a picture from the 7800 pdf file.

I have had my 7800 apart a few times and if I remember right you can just lift the dash up and make the adjustment. You might have to knock out the roll pin of the throttle lever to get the dash high enough.

Sorry I couldn't get the picture to you before.
