Need Carb kit for 5000 Gas tractor

I have had a 5000 gas tractor for nearly 30 yrs and the carb needs rebuilt again. I bought a rebuild kit 25 years ago made by Holley and I saved the box just so I could get another in the future but that part # is obsolete now. The 5000 carb is different than the 2,3 and 4000. Some suppliers list a kit for 2-5000 but when I bought the kit 25 yrs ago the 5000 had it's own kit that was different from the rest. Does anyone out there know of a source ? Thanks for any info. Carburetor Rebuild Kits, Manuals, Floats, Chokes, Choke Pull Offs and Parts Use the site to find the right carb kit and then Google the number of the kit. You'll save a few bucks. The carb kits are reasonably priced but the freight is high.

They do list one for my tractor but again it says the kit is for the entire 2000, 3000, 4000 & 5000 and I know from experience from way back when you could still get the kit at the Ford tractor dealer that the 5000 took a different kit than the others. I'm willing to pay their price which is about the same price I paid 25 yrs. ago if I knew for sure that there kit would work. I dunno, maybe they added a few more parts to the kit so it would work on the 5000 also. Looks like my only option is to order their kit and hope for the best. I feel like this is the only thing I can do at this time, even if it winds up not working. Thanks much. Dave

I've noticed it more and more through the years that kits have a few extra parts and then they work for a number of different carburetors and models.

I have tried to attach a picture of the original Holley kit box from 25 years ago. The # of the Holley kit is 1085-2765. I called several places that sell Holley kits and that number is no longer good. I have Googeled it also without success. It's like the kit never existed but I still have the box to prove it. Dave

The part number from Ford New Holland for the 5000 kit, CKPN9591B, shows still available through New Holland dealers. That same number shows online as replacing all Holley kits, 3 and 4 cylinder, and shows both bowl gaskets in the kit. Is there something that might not be in that kit?

I guess thats possible. I did not even check the NH dealer for a kit because when I bought the first rebuild kit 25 yrs. ago there was no kit available at the tractor dealer. They had them for a 2,3 and 4000 but not the 5000. Anyway, I wound up ordering a kit from the place in Canada where another member recomended which is the same kit as the 2,3, 4000 and I guess I will find out shortly if it has the necessary parts to rebuild my carb or not. Thanks for the heads up on NH having a kit. I will check it out. Dave
