I don't plan on leaving any of my hard earned money or things to anyone, I owe no one anything stay out of my business. Buy what you can afford , buy what you want with your money and enjoy life, I am!

Spend away! Enjoy it!

As for not leaving anything - you will. It's just that without a plan, it will go wherever the probate court says. My wife and I have decided to leave a moderate amount to my daughter, a little to a few friends, and the bulk of our estate will go to a local animal rescue.

So I just went through this process back in Feb. in Mar. After many hours at FTE site I came to the decision that the 2015 F250 Platinum with 6.2 and 373 rear was the way to go. I didn't need to spend so much with all the options but it will be the last truck I buy. I'm retired and don't drive much but intend to travel with small trailer in tow some in the coming years. I have always owned a truck (36 yrs) all but one were basic work trucks in the F150 size and I waited for the 15 F150 and the reports of fuel mileage and was disappointed that given the changes and the price point that for a few more or less bucks I could get the more capable truck as mileage is moot when compared to similar equipped trucks. The diesel was considered but when figuring 8k more for diesel plus added maintenance expenses and down time due to DEF issues being reported the decision was easy for me. I see several always asking about real mileage on these trucks, really if you can spend 50k for one of theses trucks, we aren't thinking how much we can save in mileage. But just for inquiry minds I'm getting 13 mpg around local and 15-16 highway and pleased. The six speed trans is fine for when I'm old guy puttin around and when I feeling frisky and stomp on it I get the the big eight response I want. What I dislike are some comments from fellas who think they know me, I don't give a rats patudy what you got or can afford so keep your snide ars remarks to yourself, I worked for it I earned it and will **** well spend it the way I see fit. With the 3:73 gears, what is your crushing rpm at 60 and 70 mph? I am trying to compare the 4:30 and 3:73 option.

I'm considering PBS I enjoy the programming after auction. Auction because I place very little value to material things so pennies on the dollar sounds fair. I plan on giving to my loved ones while I'm alive so in death they will all feel cheated.

That sounds about right, mine is right around 2000 rpm with the 4:30's. From what I here there's about 1 mpg difference between the 2 ratios.

That is some pretty good mileage for that big V8 gasser, plus you you get to hear the V8 snarl when you stomp on it. There is less and less difference between gas and diesel these days anyway unless you are talking heavy pulling. Nice looking truck by the way, very nice in fact.

Duwop, Nice pickup that sounds like pretty good mileage for those gears, Can you burn ethanol in the 6.2L engines?

A set of new Ford injectors is 2 X $770 plus labour and incidentals.
A new Chev 5.3 long block new everything from oil pan to manifold isn't far off.
