Very nice! I looked at lots of these before going with the expensive bradco. A big part of that was the "tooth pattern." I see you went with the same design. Seems to work very well. I was thinking i should weld some pressed diamond mesh on the brush guard (like you have) to protect the plastic grill better. Can't for the life of me remember what the proper name for it is. Anyone else know?

I used "expanded metal" on my brush guard. I'm in the brush a lot. I built an even stronger and more protective one on the M9540.

Excluding monetary cost, there's no doubt the double swing design is better. Like I said earlier, especially in smaller, clumped brush.

I think, by your statements, you are very cautious with your puller. That's good. When you clamp onto a tree you must ALWAYS remember you have just changed the Center of Gravity of your tractor dramatically!!!!! Biggest concern is when on a sidehill slope. Once you dislodge the roots from the ground the tree wants to fall over. If on a sideslope, that's pressure on the tractor you do not want.

Also wanted to comment on the 3pt idea. Without a hydraulic top link I would not suggest it at all. Even with a hydraulic top link you risk the tree wanting to "fall over" toward the tractor. Then you end up with a dislodged tree on top of your tractor. Very messy at a minimum. :)

Seems like that should go on the 3ph. Then with the grapple up front, Out and stacked in the same session.

I have a buckthorn tree puller that can attach to the 3-point hitch or my Deere loader. It was made to order. I noticed a picture on the sellers web site.

It is one of my favorite attachments! I do like having the chipper on back -- cut off the root ball and chip the whole trees.

Just be careful to keep the rootball as far away from the grill as possible. Blow the radiator out frequently.
