Did anyone else feel that the interviewer thinks his Green is American made?... I found him kooky in a way...Thought the Mahindra rep did a great job, almost politician like.....

The interviewer, Stuartv Varney seems to be a decent guy, but is an expat Brit. He did seem to like his green didn't he? Yes the Mahindra rep was very smooth in trying to get his story out in what amounts to a 30 second sound bite.

I'm seeing more and more ads on TV for Mahindra..a few billboards here and there too.

A lot of Mahindra ad banners at PRCA rodeo events also.

It is nice to see the profits MUSA is making in the US aren't all going back overseas to their home nation. Noticing their sponsorship and donation programs both nationally and locally was part of what made me go with them over some of the other import names. I've never seen sponsorship programs on the local level from names like Kioti, LS, or even Kubota. JD and Mahindra are the only tractor companies that sponsor anything locally and have huge national programs.

I think Stuart was somewhat playing the role of a "I want to buy from an American company" customer in the interview. Traditionally where a company calls "home" is where most of their profits end up being shipped to and spent. So there are a lot of folk feel this way even if the product sold by the American company is actually an imported product.

The Japanese automakers were a good example of this for a long time. It hasn't been until recent that they have been getting more involved in spending their money in the US for snazzy advertising and sponsorship programs for various things.

I think there is a large segment of folk would prefer to buy from a US based company that is building something overseas to maximize the profits they earn and spend here in the US; versus an overseas company making stuff in the US and taking all of their profits overseas (I am one). Just because a company pays US workers to build or assemble a product isn't enough to be "part of the community" in my opinion. The company needs to play a larger role in the areas those profits are earned. As long as a company is paying a fair wage to assemble products here, and they are not shipping all their profits overseas as soon as they make a sale, they're okay to do business with in my book.

Your preaching to the choir here...! LOL.....I go so far out of my way to buy USA...It aint easy and getting worse.....To many US companies hide there money so even using American companies is even becoming a waste.... Very sad in my eye....

Best I can do lately, is buy my jeans, and boots made in US...America as turned into the land of cheap asses!

Yep, that's why I'll buy products from companies, like Mahindra, that spend their money here rather than shipping it overseas; even if it isn't a US company.
