Our Home In The Woods!

Wife has been asking to get the porch screened in. The dogs destroyed our patio furniture and would cover it with mud and hair! The rain kept it pushed back until two weeks ago. We love it! Now we really need to work on the landscaping. Looks barren out there now. If anyone is on the fence, this is one of our favorite things we've done. I have our small second floor balcony screened in I love it for those mosquito ridden nights. I would love to also do a potion of the front porch and make it a more usable space

<deleted after taking a closer look at the picture... I hadn't seen the dark colored reinforcements in the screens the first time!>

Yup. I think it's at 30". All blends in good.

Brett,
Looks like your grass is taking hold. How about some pasture photos?
I was practically raised on a screened in porch. My Dad and his brothers spent their summer nights sleeping on a screened porch.

I need to get back across the creek and mow before any pasture pics. I'd say I only have about 10% Bermuda germination. The monsoon coupled with the cool weather didn't do me any favors. The plus side is the weeds look great!

I'm working on my grapple install. Once I get that thing going I'm going to be clearing out along the creek and make it look nicer. Easier to mow too!

Sounds good. Be careful on those creek slopes. They are wicked just to look at.

Speaking of screen. Anybody know a source to get steel screen?

The steel screen is still on the porch of our 1918 log cabin. I'm already repairing the aluminum screen on the newish screen porch at the family lake home.

Thank you. We do love it. Still filling it up. I'm building my wife a custom breakfast room table 40x96". Will add pics when completed

We've been in the house about a year and a half so far and love it. Phase two is hoping to begin soon and will include a pool/spa for the family and a 40x50 shop with a 20' awning off front for me! Getting excited to get these things in.
