Greetngs. I have lurked and learned for a while on this great site and now I need your respected opinions.

Shopping for a new tractor and have it narrowed to a new kubota l3301 hydro with ag tires. I would be using the 0% offer from Kubota and the best deal i have found is $22k with a land pride box scraper financed at 0%

I have also found a new 2014 l3800 for 22,700 financed with the same options as above but the pre tier 4 and more HP.

What are your thoughts?

The L3800 would be a no-brainer for me with one caveat. Tell the dealer you want to put an implement on the 3 point hitch and see if it has the jerky 3 point hitch. If the 3 point operates acceptably to you, then buy it.

The L3901 is the replacement for the L3800. The L3301 is the replacement for the L3200. So the L3800 gives you more tractor than the L3301 for basically the same money, PLUS you don't have any Tier 4 emissions nonsense to deal with.

Here's a recent thread that might be helpful: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-buying-pricing/321033-kubota-l3301-vs-l3800.html

I have the L3301 and it is a great machine. I got the gear drive shuttle shift, quick attach fel for $ 19 K, cash. So far, no tier iv issues ( which I don't really expect any ), or any phantom jerky 3pt hitch issues ( not really sure they exist ). Sounds like a decent deal. Besides, you can't go wrong... You're buying a Kubota either way.

All of the L3200/3800 have the jerky hitch, no exceptions. How "bad" it is depends on the owner's ability to understand and reproduce the problem. In practice, it's not an issue for most people. All else equal, I'd prefer the L3800 to the 3301 for sure, just to avoid the new Tier IV final hassles, and you are getting more tractor.

Not sure those prices are too good -- I got an L3200 with front loader and box blade for $19K. An L3800 with same options would have been $20,700. Even if the OP forgot to mention the front loader in his package, and considering the cash rebate he's forgoing, those prices still seem high to me.
