My latest acquisition: JD F925 mower

On a ride and drive at a JD factory about 20 years ago one of the last ones I was able to drive was a 925. I loved the ride because it seemed like mowing with a Cadillac mower compared to everything else they had like other JDs and also competitors. To be fair though, they didn't have any monster Kubotas or whatever else similar to that. It seemed like I was floating over the lawn. I could mow all day and not get beat up.

Get the two side guage wheels off the ground. As is, they will tear up the lawn on a narrow turn and will soon wear out or break if driven on pavement. The mower cutting height is set by the front guage wheels and the rear roller. And look around for a 72" mower deck and a second fuel tank if you have only one. Couple of them on eBay. Then you will have a really productive machine.

Thanks for the advice. I'll raise the side-gauge wheels tonight. And my F925 already has a 72" deck.

What my 72" deck is missing, though, are the rear rollers.
