Hello, I've been looking at a few blades for my 3054. I've seen a few with hydraulic cylinders on them but they were pretty large blades. I don't know the size or weight limit for blades on tractors this size. Does anyone know of a blade my tractor will handle that has it's own cylinders for tilting or swinging the blade around it's vertical axis? Thanks for your time.

I don't know what your tractor weighs, but I have an 8' fully hydraulic blade made by Landpride.

When I bought it, it only had two cylinders, one for blade tilt, and one for blade angle. The "offset" feature was manual.

I wanted that third hydraulic cylinder for the offset so I contacted my dealer, he wanted something like $350 for it.

Then I contacted Brian wit Fit Rite hydraulics on here, and purchased a better quality cylinder for a third of the price.

If you can't find a blade that comes with hydraulics to fit your tractor, you can always buy the hydraulic cylinder and replace the manual adjusters. In fact, if I were to buy a new blade, I'd order it without any adjusters on it to save a bit, and buy the aftermarket, better quality, cheaper price cylinders from Brian.

I forget what your exact tractor specs are, but I believe they're around my CK35. I have a 7' TSC 220# blade I use and the tractor beats the h@!! out of it every time I use it. I wouldn't hesitate to get a heavy duty 7 or 8 foot blade with hydraulics. The tractor would easily handle it. Only reason I haven't already is that remotes would be $700, and a good blade several thousand new.

My tractor has 34HP, weighs 3500lbs, 4WD, HST, and 1700lbs 3PTH lift. As Piston said, if you need any hydraulic stuff Brian (Mtviewranch) has a great reputation here.

This is the blade that you want. ;)

Get an 84" unit with skid shoes. If purchasing new, get it with no adjusters at all and get all 3rd party hydraulics. You will spend less money and have a better end product to use.

As far as TJP89, yes your tractor toys with a 220lb blade. I don't think that it would do so with a 7-800lb unit and 7 foot would be all that you would want.

Yeah I know, wouldn't want more than 7ft anyway. 800lbs is a lot. Hydraulics are nice though.

800lbs = little to no bouncing when grading. Your tractor would handle it no problem. Just need to decide how to control everything. Need to get top & tilt, or at least a hydraulic top link though. You need the height for transport.

I hope to get an RBT3584 for my Mahindra 3215 someday. Sort of a pain to have to rely on the bigger stuff for everything.

Brian, at $800 I thought this sounded good: EA Blade. I take it the 342 lbs is simply not going to be adequate?

It is a great blade for the cost. ETA rear blades are probably the best blades on the market for the money spent. But, in my opinion, simply to light to really work very well. Not saying not to get one, but if you go with an ETA rear blade, go with an ETA-XD-6way-SBLADE84. At 490lbs it would work fine, still on the light side though IMO. For the cost of $1551, need to think about bumping up to a Land Pride RB3784 though. At 630lbs, this would work very well and is capable of adding a hydraulic cylinder for angling purposes.

Dave, any blade that you decide to get, be sure that you get skid shoes with it, they really do make life much much easier for grading.

Either of these rear blades would make working the ditch on your road a dream. :cool2:

342lbs is way too light in my opinion to do much more than plow snow with, and even then it can ride up and over packed snow.

You want something with more weight per foot to get the most out of your tractor/blade setup. Ideally, you want the tractor to be the limiting factor with what you can do, not the blade.

Hey Brian,
There has been a Landpride 4510 for sale near me for about a year now, it's brand new and been in storage. I always think of you when I see that blade and wonder how much shipping would cost :)
